What Does God SENT His Son TRULY Mean?

Chapter 5.

Did God Send His Son Down from Heaven?

There is a controversy among Christians concerning the word “SENT” when it refers to the Son of God being SENT into the world. In other words, what do the Scriptures TRULY mean when they say God SENT His Son?

In 1 John 4:10, it says God SENT His Son to be a propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:10.

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

So then, we have three basic VIEWS concerning WHO Jesus is.

View #1. The Godhead Trinity interpretation.

God sent His pre-existing divine Son down from heaven to become flesh. Then God sent His DIVINE Son to die on the cross? In other words, this view teaches that God the Son died on the cross.

View #2. The Oneness Pentecoatal interprtation.

Almighty God the Father Himself manifested Himself in the flesh to become the Son. And then God the Father sent the MODE of Himself existing as the Son to die on the cross. In other words, this view teaches that Almighty God the Father Himself died on the cross.

View #3. The Begotten Son in the Eternity Past interpretation.

This view teaches that the Son was BEGOTTEN, born, made, created, or somehow came into existence in the eternity past. Then God sent His BEGOTTEN Son down from heaven to be made flesh. God then anointed His pre-existing Son who was made flesh and then sent His anointed “divine / human” Son to die on the cross.

View #4. The Biblical Unitarian interpretation. 

God send His word of PROPHECY down from heaven to be made FLESH without ANY divine nature. Then God ANOINTED His fully human Son with a MEASURE of His Spirit. And then, God sent His anointed human Son who could do NOTHING of himself without the Eternal Spirit dwelling in him to empower him to die on the cross, according to Hebrews 9:14.

In other words, God SENT or COMMISSIONED His HUMAN Son to become the propitiation for the sins of the world. The Greek word that is translated as “sent” means to “commission”. And the word commission means to GIVE the power and that authority to accomplish a task that one is given to do.

We are called to walk in righteousness and God GAVE us His Holy Spirit to empower us to overcome sin. And God gave us the AUTHORITY in the NAME of Jesus over the enemy.

Now, the first two views dogmatically demand that God HIMSELF died on the cross. The first view teaches that the eternal Son, who always pre-existed as God the Son, died on the cross. In other words, supposedly BOTH the divine nature and the human nature died on the cross. For you see, if only the human nature died on the cross, then God did not die on the cross.

The second view teaches that Almighty God the Father, who manifested Himself in the FORM of the Son, died on the cross.

And again, somehow both the divine nature and the human nature supposedly died on the cross. Otherwise, God Himself did not die on the cross, if only the human nature died on the cross. 

And both of these two views believe that the GOSPEL of salvation teaches that GOD HIMSELF MUST have died on the cross.

In other words, according to THEM, if you do NOT believe that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh who died on the cross, then you are NOT a true Christian and you remain dead in your sins until you believe that God Himself died on the cross. And they quote John 8:24 to try to support their view.

 Now, the third view is split between FORMER Trinitarian Christians and the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Both groups believe that the Son of God came into existence, but both groups believe that it was in the eternity past that the Son was brought into existence by the Father.

Both groups believe that the Son CREATED all things. And both of these groups believe that the Father is GREATER than the Son, as in, the Father always has been and always will be greater than His Son.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that God created His Son FIRST in the eternity past and then the Son created everything else.

The other group believes that the Son was BEGOTTEN in the eternity past, but the Almighty God the Father created the universe in the eternity past while the Son RESTORED the earth some 6,000 years ago. 

Now, the Jehovah’s Witnesses do NOT believe that Jesus is Almighty God Himself. And thus, they do not believe that Jesus was God in the flesh.

But yet BOTH of these groups believe that the Son is the CREATOR. 

And that is because of the WAY the Bible has been TRANSLATED. This is a broad topic to explain is a way so that you can SEE for yourself that OTHER meanings of the Greek and Hebrew word completely CLEAR up all of the confusion.

And what I mean by CONFUSION is how can both the Father and His Son be called God and NOT be one and the self-same BEING?

Also, by “confusion” I also mean how can an IMMORTAL God DIE?

And for even more confusion, how can a single being have TWO natures, TWO souls, and TWO wills, which is what every group of Christians teach.

EXCEPT for the Biblical Unitarian Christians and the Jehovah’s Witnesses. 

And to me, it is still “confusion” to say that God created the Son and the Son created everything else, BUT the Son if NOT Almighty God.

Now, I agree that the Son of NOT Almighty God Himself, but I do NOT agree that the Son created all THINGS. Nor do I agree that the Son of God was begotten in the eternity past.

And if you continue reading the rest of this book you will see for YOURSELF that the translators ADDED the word “THINGS” to many verses of Scripture that it should NOT have been added.

And that added word “things” has MISLEAD Christians to WRONGLY believe that the Son is the CREATOR of ALL THINGS.

Let me begin by saying that the Greek language does indeed have a specific Greek word that means THINGS.

Matthew 4:9.

“And said unto him, All these THINGS (The Greek word “tauta”, Strong’s number) will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

However, even though the Greek language does indeed have a specific Greek word that means THINGS, the authors of the New Testament books chose the Greek word “pas” in most of the verses of Scripture.

And the translators chose to ADD the English word “things” in MANY verses of Scripture where there is NO Greek word “tauta” in the original Greek text. And neither is the meaning of “things” specifically in the definition of the Greek word “pas”.

Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the this Greek word.

Including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole: – all (manner of, means) alway (-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no (-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever.

And by the translators ADDING of the word “things” in certain verses, that it should have NOT been added, it has MISLEAD some Christians to wrongly believe that the Son of God is the Creator of all THINGS.

But, in TRUTH, Almighty God created the ALL who BELIEVE in His Son, Jesus.

And thus, the true SOUND Biblical meaning of those verses of Scripture with the “incorrectly” added word “things” is that it was THROUGH Jesus or because of what Jesus did on the cross that the ALL who believe are created. Those verses of Scripture have nothing whatsoever to do with the creation of the entire universe.

Let us take a CLOSER look at how the ADDING of the English word “THINGS” has DECEIVED some Christians to wrongly believe that Jesus created the entire universe.

We will start by reading John 1:3 OUT of its CONTEXT, because that is how Trinitarian Christians us this verse of Scripture to try to prove that Jesus created everything in the entire universe. And they do that so that they can try to prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh.

I will highlight in green the words that are in ERROR. And the words in blue are the TRUTH after the cross and resurrection. I will explain what I mean by “after the cross and resurrection” in a moment.

John 1:3.  

“ALL things were made by him; and without him was not ANY thing made that was made.”  

First of all, the Greek word “dia” that is translated as “by” him means “through” him as being the channel of an act. It also means BECAUSE of him or by reason of him the ALL were made.

And not ANY of the ALL were made WITHOUT him. So then, WHAT is the ALL? Does the “all” mean people who believe in Jesus?

Yes, the ALL is speaking of believers in Jesus and NOT all THINGS as it has been INCORRECTLY translated in the KJV.

For you see, this Greek word also means “in” him, for the sake of him, and within him, as INTO him, referring to into the body of Jesus Christ, the church.

Or does the “all” refer to every single “thing” in the entire universe that was made? Did Jesus die for every single “thing” in the entire universe Did Jesus die to save Satan and the fallen angels?

So then, you can see how the ADDED word “THINGS” can MISLEAD some Christians to wrongly believe that John 1:3 means that Jesus created everything that exists in the entire universe.

But if you read the CONTEXT, then you can clearly see that the Apostle John INTENDED his words to be understood that the Greek word “pas” means ALL of the people who BELIEVE in Jesus are made NEW CREATURES in him as opposed to “by” him.

In the very next verse, we can see that there was LIFE in him and that life is the LIGHT. And Jesus is the LIGHT of the world which is the word of TRUTH, the Scriptures.

So to me, the LITERAL translation of John 1:1-3 that was translated from the Textus Receptus has the CORRECT translation. The Word should be translated as the SAYING or as the word, not being capitalized.

And the Greek word translated as “with” God should have been translated as TOWARD THE God.

LITERAL translation of John 1:1-3.

“In beginning was the SAYING, and the SAYING was TOWARD the God, and God was the SAYING. (Or the PROPHECY of a God was TOWARD joining the God at His right hand)

Verse 2. The SAME (Referring to the SAYING) was in beginning TOWARD the God.

Verse 3. ALL through SAME (Referring to the SAYING) became and apart from SAME came yet not ONE which has BECOME”

And in the SAYING was LIFE and that life was the LIGHT. In other words, in the SCRIPTURES is the light or the understanding that brings eternal life to the ALL who BELIEVE in the SAYING of God. And the SAYING was made FLESH. 

So to me, John 1:1-3 does NOT prove that Jesus is the creator of the entire universe. Let us look at a passage of Scripture that clearly teaches us that the ALL are BELIEVERS and NOT all THINGS.

I will highlight the words referring the Almighty God the Father in orange, the words that refer to Jesus in yellow and the words that refer to us and believer in blue. And I will place the words that were ADDING in green font.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21.

“ For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for ALL, then were ALL dead: 

2 Corinthians 5:15.  And that he died for ALL, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 

2 Corinthians 5:16.  Wherefore, henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth, know we him no more. 

2 Corinthians 5:17.  Therefore, if ANY man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new. 

2 Corinthians 5:18.  And ALL things are of God, who has RECONCILED us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 

2 Corinthians 5:19.  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 

2 Corinthians 5:20.  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be you RECONCILED to God. 

2 Corinthians 5:21.  For He has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

So then, clearly, the Bible itself teaches us that Almighty God the Father is the Creator who created the ALL who BELIEVE in Jesus to BECOME the Father’s NEW CREATURES.

In other words, it is Yahweh who RECONCILED the world to Himself THROUGH, or by reason of His human Son DYING on the cross for the sins of the world.

And WITHOUT His Son DYING on the cross not yet ONE of the ALL who became a believer has BECOME saved until they BELIEVED in Jesus as being the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Ephesians 2:10 clearly teaches us that it was Almighty God the Father who CREATED us in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-10.

“For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 

Ephesians 2:9.  Not of works, lest any man should boast. 

Ephesians 2:10.  For we are His workmanship, CREATED in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.”

So then, the English word “THINGS” should have NEVER been ADDED by the translators in many passages of Scriptures such as John 1:1-3, 2 Corinthians 5:17,18, Ephesians 1:10,11,22, Ephesians 4:10-20, Colossians 1:16-20, Titus 1:15, Hebrews 1:2,3, several more verses of Scripture.

And not only did the translators add the English word “things” when they should not have added it, they ALSO did NOT translated the Greek word “ho” which is the definite article “THE” before the word “ALL”.

Let me show you what I mean by quoting the LITERAL translation of Colossians 1:16,17.

LITERAL Translation of Colossians 1:16,17.

“That in him is created THE ALL, THE in the heaven, and THE on the earth, THE seen, and THE unseen, if whether thrones or lordships or sovereignties or authorities THE ALL through him and INTO him have been created.

17. And he is before ALL and THE ALL in him has stood together.”

And in the light of the CONTEXT, Jesus is the firstborn of every NEW CREATION of Almighty God, the firstborn from the dead.

Ephesians 2:5-10 makes it very clear that we are the WORKMANSHIP of Almighty God the Father who created us in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:5-10.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, 

Ephesians 2:5.  Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 

Ephesians 2:6.  And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in (Or WITH) Christ Jesus: (For we will reign WITH Jesus, according to Revelation 20:4-6)

Ephesians 2:7.  That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 

Ephesians 2:8.  For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 

Ephesians 2:9.  Not of works, lest any man should boast. 

Ephesians 2:10.  For WE (THE ALL who OVERCOME INCLUDING His Son Jesus, according to Revelation 3:14,21) are His WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.”

So then, Almighty God the Father is the Creator who created THE ALL in him, THE in the heaven, and THE in the earth, whether thrones or lordships or sovereignties or authorities, THE ALL through Jesus and INTO the body of Jesus have been created by Almighty God the Father.

And God created man or mankind AND the Son of MAN to STILL His enemies, according to Psalm 8:1-6. And thus, during the days of his FLESH, the Son of God was a servant, a Prophet, and an APOSTLE who God MADE to become His High Priest.
