Do Christians Have Sin Right After They Confess Their Sins?

The Christians that teach that every person is BORN with a SINFUL NATURE us verses of Scripture like 1 John 1:8,10 to TRY to prove that every person has SIN in their life and that they are going to sin EVERY DAY of their life.

But that is NOT what 1 John 1:8,10 means or implies when we keep it in its CONTEXT. Seeing that there were no chapters and verses in the original letters, the context continues into chapter 2, verses 1 through 6. So read the follow as the same context.

Keep in mind that John is talking to UNSAVED people, CARNAL Christians, those who SAY they are Christians but they are NOT truly saved, and also to true born-again Christians. John is teaching them ALL how to KNOW if they are TRUE Christians. And if they are NOT true Christians, they can have FELLOWSHIP or BECOME true Christians by CONFESSING their sins.

1 John 1:1-10 through 1 John 2:1-6.

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 

1 John 1:2. (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto YOU that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us😉 

1 John 1:3. That which we have seen and heard DECLARE we unto you, THAT you ALSO may have fellowship with us: and TRULY our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. 

1 John 1:4. And these things write we unto you, THAT your joy may be full. 

1 John 1:5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and DECLARE unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. 

1 John 1:6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (In other words, if we SAY we are Christians and we TRULY have fellowship, then we do NOT walk in darkness. And if one does walk in darkness who SAYS they are a Christian, then they LIE, and the TRUTH is not in THEM)

1 John 1:7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 

1 John 1:8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (In other words, before we knew Jesus, if SAY have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth in not in us. And after we are saved and we SIN, but we EXCUSE our sin and say that we have no sin, then we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us)

1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (In other words, if you do not know Jesus and you CONFESS you sins, God is faithful to forgive us our sins, and to CLEANSE us from ALL unrighteousness. And after you are saved and you sin, of you CONFESS your sins, God is faithful to forgive us our sins, and to CLEANSE us from ALL unrighteousness)

1 John 1:10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (In other words, you KNOW we ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and if we sin after we are saved and try to excuse that sin saying it is not a sin, then we make God a liar and the TRUTH is not in us)

1 John 2:1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin NOT. And if ANY MAN sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 

1 John 2:2. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and NOT for ours ONLY, but ALSO for the sins of the whole world. (So, if you are not SURE if you TRULY have fellowship with the Father and His Son, KNOW assuredly, that if you acknowledge that you have sinned and you CONFESS your sins, then God is faithful to forgive you of all your sins and CLEANSE you from ALL unrighteousness)

1 John 2:3. And hereby we do KNOW that we KNOW him, if we KEEP his commandments. 

1 John 2:4.  He that SAYS, I know him, and keeps NOT his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is NOT in him. (So, if you want to have TRUE fellowship with us who TRULY have fellowship with the Father and His Son, then CONFESS you sins and KEEP his commandments written in the New Testament under the NEW Covenant)

1 John 2:5. But whoso keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby KNOW we that we are in him. 

1 John 2:6.  He that SAYS he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

And to me, that is the TRUE sound Biblical meaning of 1 John 1:8 and 1 John 1:10 when that are correctly interpreted in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.

Plain and simple, some people are raised in a church denomination, and they SAY they are Christians. But in truth, they have no ASSURANCE that they are truly SAVED. They HOPE they are saved, but they do not KNOW that they are saved.

And John is talking to THEM in 1 John 1:1-10 through 1 John 2:1-6 so that they will SAY this or a similar prayer to God. 

“Yes God, I have sinned and a CONFESS my sin to you, God. I truly believe that Your Son, Jesus. died for my sins. And I TRULY want to have fellowship with You heavenly Father and Your Son Jesus. Forgive me of all my sins.”

And if you BELIEVE that God is FAITHFUL that He has FORGIVEN you of all your sins, and that He as CLEANSED you from ALL unrighteousness, then you ARE TRULY born-again to become a new creation of God in His Son Jesus Christ. And NOW, you have NO SIN in you, and you are made FREE from the DOMINION of sin. If you prayed this prayer or a similar prayer and you do not know what to do next, then write to me or find a church that believes in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and have them to lay hands on you to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.

So again, NO! 1 John 1:8 and 1 John 1:10 do NOT prove that ANY human is BORN with a sinful NATURE. But rather, every human being LEARNS to walk in righteousness. And sadly, some people LEARN to corrupt their own minds and harden their own hearts to SIN against their conscience.

And the TRUTH of the matters is that every man has sinned at some point in the life, we all have FALLEN short of the glory of God BECAUSE we all have SINNED at one time or another in our life.

And it was Satan, the DEVIL who entices us to SIN.

Now sadly, Christadelphian Christians do NOT believe that Satan, the Devil, is a REAL literal BEING. And the Christadelphian Christians ALSO wrongly believe, as well as, some other church denominations, that God created EVIL and that Yahweh is the CAUSE of all of the EVIL in the world. 

Plus, Christadelphian Christians, as well as other church denominations such as the Roman Catholic Church, sincerely, but wrongly believe in the FALSE doctrine or original sin. And thus, they build their other man-made doctrines upon the false doctrine of every person being born with a so-called sinful NATURE.

Again, once Christians understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands. 

And that you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels. 

Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become a Lord, a King, and a God, to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
