The Leviathan is Called the Crooked Serpent in Isaiah 27:1!

Let us begin this Verse Study on Job 41:1 by reading Isaiah 27:1 so that you can see that the leviathan is called the piercing serpent and that crooked serpent in the same verse of Scripture. And when God speaks TWICE, we need to pay close attention.

Isaiah 27:1.

“In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall PUNISH leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the DRAGON that is in the SEA.”

According to Isaiah 57:20 and Jude 1:13 the word SEA symbolically refers to the WICKED. And when we compare Scripture with Scripture concerning the DAY of Yahweh when His Sword, Jesus, comes, then we see that Jesus will SLAY that WICKED “monster” that Christians call the antichrist, the son of perdition. In other words, one of the children of PRIDE.

2 Thessalonians 2:9.

“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, (That is sharper than a two-edged sword) and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 

2 Thessalonians 2:9. Even him, who’s coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,”

So then, part of the leviathan, the dragon with SEVEN HEADS, according to Revelation 12:3, is the little horn in Daniel 8:9, the EIGHTH kingdom prophesied in Revelation 17:3-18. 

Now, many Christians already know and understand that the seven heads of the dragon are the seven world empires, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Greece, Persian, Roman, and the Islamic Ottoman Empire. 

Some Christians argue that the seventh kingdom is still yet to come into power, and it will be a “revival” of the Roman Empire. 

But to me, if that is true, then that would mean that the so-called REVIVED Roman Empire would have to receive another wound unto death and then revive a second time to become the EIGHTH kingdom in the Middle East.

So to me, I see the seventh world empire as being the Islamic Ottoman Empire.

And the EIGHTH world kingdom over the land in the Middle East and parts of Europe will be the revival of the Islamic Empire that will be in the IMAGE of the Ottoman Empire and ALSO use war to subdue the same areas of the first seven world empires. 

Also, many Christians refer to the eighth kingdom, or the last kingdom before the coming of Jesus, as the antichrist kingdom and the MARK of the BEAST. And thus, I believe that the “mark of the beast” is to convert to Islam. In fact, to follow any religion that denies and rejects Jesus as the Son of Almighty God to worship other gods is worshiping the beast even though they THINK they are worshiping Yahweh, the Creator God of the Bible.

Now, in Daniel chapter 8, we are told that the ram is Medo-Persia, and that is obviously true with no interpretation needed. But I am also seeing a deeper meaning of the Medo-Persia is the same land area as Babylon before the conquest of the Babylonian Empire. And if we count backward from the last kingdom FOUR horns, we arrive at the Babylonian Empire.

So to me, the religious system of ancient Babylon will REVIVE in the last days. Isaiah 21:9, Jeremiah 51:1-10, Revelation 14:8, Revelation 18:2 all prophesy saying BABYLON is fallen is fallen. And the leviathan symbolically represents Mystery Babylon in Revelation chapter 17.

With that being said, let us read Job 41:1,34, the first and last verse of chapter 41. Almighty God is speaking to Job, a FIGURE of Jesus. Also, notice that the leviathan is called the “king” of the children of PRIDE.

Job 41:1,34.  

“Can you draw out leviathan with an hook? Or his tongue with a cord which you let down?…

…Job 41:34. He beholds all high things: he is a king over all the children of PRIDE.”

Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Hebrew word “livyâthân” translated as leviathan 5 times and 1 time as mourning in Job 3:8. And personally, I believe that Job 3:8 should be translated as leviathan as well. I will explain why further on in this Verse Study on Job 41:1, who is the leviathan?

From H3867; a wreathed animal, that is, a serpent (especially the crocodile or some other large sea monster); figuratively the constellation of the dragon; also as a symbol of Babylon: – leviathan, mourning.

Total KJV occurrences: 6.

Notice that the word “leviathan” refers to the constellation of the DRAGON, also known as Draconis and Draco. Now, when I first became a Christian some 43 years ago, I believed that the angels were all of that SAME race of beings called the angelic beings. But now I am seeing that the angels are comprised of MANY different races of beings, and the Draconian race is just one of the many different races of the angels.

In other words, if human beings would travel to the star system of Pleiades, then the Pleiadeans would call us Earthlings, because we are from the planet earth. But in truth, we are actually humans or human BEINGS. And likewise, both the Pleiadians and the Draconians are angelic BEINGS. In other words, the Draconian race may or may not be LITERAL DRAGONS or lizard-like beings.

I personally believe that they could be literal “dragon” beings, but whether they are or are not dragon-like beings, they are part of the race of beings called the angels in the Bible. And thus, other angels could very well be from other galaxies and look completely different. And some may look very human-like in appearance.

Now, there is a star in the constellation of the Dragon named Alpha Draconis. And alpha means the head or the chief star, and Jesus saw a star fall from heaven. So, to me, the Dragon star, named Lucifer, is the angel who fell from heaven.

So then, seeing that the leviathan is closely connected to the word “dragon”, let us take a look at some passages of Scripture that have the word DRAGON in them.

Psalm 74:12-15.

“For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. (In other words, Almighty God, the Eternal King in 1 Timothy 1:17 is in the process of DETHRONING the leviathan, the king over the children of PRIDE, and PROMOTING another in his place to be the King over the whole earth during the world to come, according to Psalm 75:6-10)

Psalm 74:13. You (Yahweh) did divide the sea (Referring symbolically to the rebellious fallen angels) by Your strength: You break the HEADS of the dragons in the waters. (The Hebrew word translated as dragons in this verse is the SAME Hebrew word that is translated as whales in Genesis 1:21. And the Hebrew word translated as created ALSO means to CUT DOWN. In other words, in Genesis 1:21, God CUT DOWN the INSOLENT dragons. Psalm 74:14. You break the HEADS of leviathan in pieces and gave him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. 

Psalm 74:15. You did cleave the fountain and the flood: You dried up mighty rivers.” 

Now, I believe that the FLOOD was a literal flood of water covering the earth that became frozen during the ice age as a result of the wrath of Yahweh to overthrow the fallen angels BEFORE God created Adam and Eve.

But I also believe that the flood symbolically speaking of two future WARS, the war right before the Millennial reign of Jesus, and the FINAL war at the end of the 1000-year reign of Jesus. Let us look at some more verses with the word “dragon” in them.

Now, in the first half of Psalm 104, verse 1-24, we see that the creation of Almighty God is GOOD. Then in verse 25, we see the OTHER SIDE, the side that corrupted itself to become wicked and evil.

Psalm 104:25-35. 

“O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom have You MADE (Strong’s number Hthem all: the earth is full of thy riches. 

Psalm 104:25. So is this (Or more correctly translated, on THIS SIDE or on the OTHER SIDE is the) great and wide sea, (Or more correctly translated, on the other side are the INSOLENT prideful hands of the wicked people) wherein are things creeping innumerable, (Or wherein are swarms that will become nothing or shall be no more) both small and great beasts. (Or both tiny and large insolent creatures. This could mean even the tiniest of pesty insects and poisonous plants thorns, germs, and viruses, to the largest of every corrupted insolent creature shall be no more, including fallen humans and the fallen angels)  

Psalm 104:26. There go the SHIPS: THERE (In the SHIPS) is that leviathan, whom You have made to play therein. (Or more correctly translated and understood, there go the flying ships, and there in their flying ships is that leviathan, the king of the children of PRIDE, whom You spread or scatters having them in DERISION. 

For you see, in Psalm 2:1-4 it says that when the heathen RAGE, Yahweh shall LAUGH at them, VEX them, and have them in DERISION. And also, the Hebrew word translated in verse 26 is a DIFFERENT Hebrew word than in verse 24, which means to make or create. 

But the Hebrew word in verse 26 means to spread out or to scatter their fleet of SHIPS and have then in DERISION. Please read the study Q-7 What Does the Bible Say About UFOs? There are many Christians who are now seeing that some of the fallen angles could very well be hiding in their flying ships under the SEAS. And thus, the leviathan, the dragon in the SEA could literally mean that some of the HEADS or princes of the fallen angels are in their SHIPS underwater in the oceans and seas, even in rivers and lakes)

Psalm 104:27. These wait all upon You; that You may give them their meat in due season. (The devils believe in God, and they TREMBLE. When Jesus cast out the devils they adjured or commanded Jesus, saying, are you here to TORMENT us BEFORE our TIME? And when Satan and his angels will be cast out of heaven, they will know that their TIME is short.

So then, the meat of the wicked will be the lake of fired that will consume them to ashes or to DUST and they shall all be NO MORE)

Psalm 104:28. That You give them they gather: (Or more correctly translated and punctuated, You may give them their meat in due season that You give THEM. They that GATHER, pick up or reap, You open Your hand, THEY are filled with good) 

Psalm 104:29. You hide Your face, they are troubled: (Or You hide Your face from those that TREMBLE) You take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. (But the RIGHTEOUS will inherit the new heaven and the new earth)

Psalm 104:30. You send forth Your Spirit, they are created: and You renew the face of the earth. 

Psalm 104:31. The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in His works. 

Psalm 104:32. He looks on the earth, and it trembles: He touches the hills, and they smoke. 

Psalm 104:33. I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 

Psalm 104:34. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD. 

Psalm 104:35. Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be NO MORE. (Or no more SEA, as in, no more WICKED and EVIL, according to the prophecy in Revelation 21:1) Bless You the LORD, O my soul. Praise you the LORD.” 

Let us look at one more passage of Scripture that I said earlier that it should have also been translated as leviathan instead of the word “mourning” in Job 3:8. It is true that the leviathan, that dragon called the Devil and Satan does indeed MOURN at the DAY that our Messiah Jesus was BORN. Keep in mind that Job is a FIGURE of Jesus.

Job 3:6-9.

“As for that night, (Symbolically speaking of the children of the night or the children of the devil) let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days (Or join with the children of the day) of the year, let it not come into the number of the months. 

Job 3:7. Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein. 

Job 3:8. Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning, (Or let those who worship Lucifer go ahead and curse the day Jesus was born who also curse the children of the day. Let those who are ready to stir up or arouse their LEVIATHAN go ahead and do it)

Job 3:9. Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; (Or let the fallen angels remain in their wickedness of waging war) let it look for light but have NONE; neither let it see the dawning of the DAY.”

So again, to me, the TRUE sound Biblical meaning of Job 41:1 is that the leviathan is indeed the dragon, that old serpent called the Devil and Satan, who is the fallen angel called Lucifer and the anointed cherub. 

And I believe that Lucifer is a Draconian from the constellation of the dragon, also called Draconis and Draco. And I believe that Satan could very well be a LITERAL Dragon. 

But even if he is not, Satan is indeed a REAL LITERAL being, the fallen angel Lucifer.

Now, sadly, Christadelphian Christians do NOT believe that Satan, the Devil, is a REAL literal BEING. And the Christadelphian Christians ALSO wrongly believe, as well as, some other church denominations, that God created EVIL and that Yahweh is the CAUSE of all of the EVIL in the world. 

Plus, Christadelphian Christians, as well as other church denominations such as the Roman Catholic Church, sincerely, but wrongly believe in the FALSE doctrine or original sin. And thus, they build their other man-made doctrines upon the false doctrine of every person being born with a so-called sinful NATURE.

Again, once Christians understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands. 

And that you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels. 

Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become a Lord, a King, and a God, to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
