Christadelphians Teach that We ALL are the Devil!

 

Christadelphian Christians teach that Satan, the Devil is NOT a REAL LITERAL BEING. But rather, to them, Satan is simply another “term” for SIN and EVIL. They argue that the Hebrew word “satan” is NOT a NAME, but rather, it is a “word” that means adversary and enemy.

However, here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Hebrew word “satan”.

From H7853; an opponent; especially (with the article prefixed) Satan, the arch enemy of good: – adversary, Satan, withstand.

 

And here is how the Greek word for “devil” is defined.

G1228

διάβολος

diabolos

dee-ab’-ol-os

From G1225; a traducer; specifically Satan (compare [H7854]): – false accuser, devil, slanderer.

 

So then, if the definite article “THE” is before the Greek word “diabolos”, then it means THE Devil, as in, THE real being Satan, the Devil, the great Dragon called the old serpent in Revelation 12:7-9.

So, what about Judas Iscariot being called a devil? First of all, there is no definite article in John 6:70 where it SEEMS as if Jesus is calling Judas Iscariot a devil.

Secondly, we are reading a TRANSLATION of the original Greek text. And the Greek word “esti” that is translated as the verb “is” a devil, ALSO means WRESTLE with a devil, HAS a devil, and FOLLOWS a devil.

Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Greek word “esti”.

Third person singular present indicative of G1510; he (she or it) is; also (with neuter plural) they are: – are, be (-long), call, X can [-not], come, consists, X dure for awhile, + follow, X have, (that) is (to say), make, means, X must needs, + profit, + remains, + wrestle.

 

And when we compare Scripture with Scripture, we can see that Judas Iscariot was tempted by Satan, the Devil, to be enticed to FOLLOW the seducing of the Devil. And thus, according to 1 John 3:8-10, Judas was a CHILD of the Devil and WRESTLED with the Devil. Later on in Luke 22:3, Satan ENTER Judas. And then, Judas HAD a Devil, and thus, he BELONGED to the Devil.

Paul teaches us in Romans that whosever we FOLLOW, his servants you ARE. So then, to me, the more correct translation would be Judas WRESTLED with the temptation from the Devil. And because Judas chose to FOLLOW and obey the Devil, Satan eventually ENTERED into Judas, according to Luke 22:3. And then, the possessed Judas BELONGED to Satan, the Devil.

For you see, Judas was enticed by Satan with his OWN lust. And the lust of Judas was the love of money. And thus, the Devil enticed the WEAK spot of Judas who was drawn away by his OWN particular weakness to lust after money. We ALL have our OWN weakness that we can be enticed by the Devil to be drawn away to sin. See the Verse Study on James 1:14 for the TRUE sound Biblical meaning.

Also, concerning Christadelphians CLAIMING that Satan is NOT a NAME, one could argue that Peter was NOT Simon’s NAME either, because the WORD “Petros” means ROCK. And Matthew 4:18 says that Simon was CALLED Peter, which means rock.

Now, nearly every name in the Bible has a MEANING as well ALSO BEING a NAME. The name Jesus means the salvation of Yahweh, but that does not disqualify the word “Jesus” to NOT be a NAME just because it MEANS the salvation of Yahweh.

So NO! John 6:70 does NOT prove that Satan, the Devil, is NOT a REAL literal BEING as the Christadelphian Christians WRONGLY teach!

Another point that I would like to make is that while I was reading another Christadelphian article teaching what they believe, I noticed that they CONTRADICT themselves.

In other words, in their article called “Do You Believe in a Devil, they teach that Satan, the Devil, is NOT a REAL BEING who SPEAKS words to our minds. And thus, they concluded that we are tempted by our OWN thoughts speaking to our OWN minds. But yet in their article on the Holy Spirit they say the following to CONTRADICT themselves. The emphasis is mine.

 

“At the beginning of human history Eve’s mind had been polluted by the words of the serpent.” 

So then, in their teaching about the Devil not being a real, they say it is the person who SPEAKS to their own minds. But then, they CONTRADICT themselves in their teaching on the Holy Spirit by teaching that the serpent SPOKE words to Eve’s mind.

And then, notice that Yahweh PUNISHES the Serpent, which was a REAL creature.

 

Genesis 3:14,15.

 

“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because YOU have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life: 

Genesis 3:15. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

 

Now, if a good angel can make a donkey TALK, then the FALLEN angel, Lucifer, could make a serpent talk. Or it might have been that Satan manifested himself to appear as a serpent. Either way, Satan is a REAL BEING.

The main point is that Yahweh did NOT say to Eve, quit lying to me Eve, you know that those thoughts that you heard speaking to your mind were your OWN lusts. And all you are trying to do is to BLAME an imaginary creature that does not exist.

NO! Yahweh placed the BLAME on His ENEMY who spoke those words to EVE to entice her to disobey God.

Now, the Christadelphian Christians, as well as, some other church denominations, such as the Roman Catholic Church, sincerely, but wrongly believe in the FALSE doctrine or original sin. And thus, they build their other man-made doctrines upon the false doctrine of every person being born with a so-called sinful NATURE.

Again, once Christians understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands. 

And that you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels. 

Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become a Lord, a King, and a God, to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
