Did Aaron Die BECAUSE He SINNED?

The wage of sin is DEATH and Aaron did indeed SIN. But so did Moses and Moses did not die that day. So why did Aaron die?

The answer is simple, people die every day. Death is a fact of life, and everyone is going to die. So then, the fact that SOME Christians look for reasons to BLAME God does NOT mean that Numbers 20:26 teaches us that God MURDERED or KILLED Aaron.

The truth of the matter is that Aaron was 123 years old when he died. Here are the FACTS, no SIN will enter the PROMISED LAND. And ALL of the children of Israel from 21 years old to the oldest person all DIED in the wilderness, except for Joshua and Caleb, and the children of Israel 20 years old and YOUNGER. Moses also died on a mountain TOP before the children cross over the River Jordan to drive out the enemies and take the land that God promised them.

So then, do not listen to Christians who blame God for all of the evil that is in the world. It is the THIEF who steals, KILLS and destroys. Jesus came that we might have LIFE and life more abundantly.

As I said in the introduction, there is FAR MORE to this verse than some Christians realize. And I believe that this verse teaches us that the DEATH of the LEVITICAL priesthood is slowing DYING in order for God to CHANGE the priesthood, according to Hebrews 7:11,12,23.

Hebrews 7:11,12,23.

“If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 

Hebrews 7:12. For the priesthood being CHANGED, there is made of necessity a change also of the law…

…Hebrews 7:23. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of DEATH.” 

And thus, Moses STRIPPING Aaron of his GARMENTS and putting them on Aaron’s son Eleazar was a foreshadowing of the New Covenant. Let me explain why I say this.

Most Christians already know and understand that Moses is a FIGURE of Jesus, and that Aaron is the BROTHER of Moses. But what some Chrsitian may not know is that God also teaches us things through the meanings of NAMES. And the name “Eleazar” means God is a HELPER. And “garments” symbolize being clean and unclean.

So, the stripping of the Levitical priesthood garments that could not cleans us from sin and putting them on God is our HELPER, symbolizes the New Covenant where the HELPER, God’s Holy Spirit, dwelling in is to help us overcome sin.

But first, we must DIE. Not die physically, but die to self through repentance, faith in the shed blood of Jesus to cleanse us of all our sins, and water baptism symbolizing that we died with Jesus to be raised from spiritual death to a new life in Jesus Christ.

Plus, the PLACE that Aaron died on TOP of Mount Hor also may have some significance. For you see, the name “Hor” carries the meaning of PROMOTION. And when the righteous DIE that are promoted to a higher place in the presence of the Lord, according to 2 Corinthians 5:5-10.

God does NOT like being BLAMED for things that He does NOT do. And the MURMURING and complaining of the children of Israel shows that they did NOT BELIEVE that God is FOR them and not against them. And like any GOOD parent corrects their children for their own good, God as well, corrects His children when they disobey Him.

But God provided a PLAN of salvation to set us free from being held captive to sin by His enemy Satan, the Devil.

Numbers 17:10.  

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall quite TAKE AWAY their MURMURINGS from (Or you, Jesus, shall surely TAKE AWAY, END, and utterly destroy their MURMURINGS AGAINST) me, that they die NOT.”

I want to draw you attention to two more verses of Scripture and the UNTRANSLATED Aleph Tav in these two verses, Numbers 20:28 and Exodus 28:41. Notice the DOUBLE Aleph Tav before the name Aaron and his Son Eleazar, which means God is HELPER.

I have only found TWO places out of 7,000 plus Aleph Tavs in the Bible where the untranslated Aleph Tav, Strong’s number H853, appears TWICE in a row before a name. 

Again, the DOUBLE Aleph Tav appears in Numbers 20:28 before the name Eleazar, which means God is HELPER, and before the name Aaron in Exodus 28:41. 

So, to me, there is something significant in these two verses that God wants us to see and understand.

Exodus 28:41.  

“And you (Moses, a FIGURE of Jesus, who baptizes with the Holy Spirit, our HELPER) shall put them upon  (H853 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) (H853 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) Aaron your brother, and his sons with him; and shall ANOINT them, and consecrate H4390 (H853) H3027 them, (Or more correctly translated, an shall ANOINT them and FILL them with H835 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus POWER) and sanctify them, (Or make them HOLY or PURE) that they may minister unto me in the priest’s OFFICE.”

And at the coming of Jesus, we shall be made kings and PRIESTS with Jesus as our high priest and King over us. And we will rule and reign with Jesus during the world to come to help bring in the third harvest of firstfruits, those saved during the Millennial reign of Jesus.

Numbers 20:28.

“And Moses (The figure of Jesus) stripped (H853 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) Aaron of his (H853 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) garments, and put them upon (H853 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) (H853 Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) Eleazar his son; (God is HELPER) and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.” 

So, to me, the stripping and death of Aaron foreshadows the FALL of Israel when they rejected Jesus as their Messiah and had the Roman leadership crucify him. God gave them space to repent, and many did, but the majority still reject Jesus even to this day.

The gospel was preached to the Jews FIRST for around 3 1/2 years, and then God turned to save the Gentiles. But God promised to turn again a second time to deliver the remnant of Israel at the coming of Jesus to reign as their King.

And that is the TRUE sound Biblical God intended meaning of Numbers 20:26 when it is correctly translated and correctly interpreted in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.

Moses is a figure of Jesus, and Aaron, the brother of Moses, is the figure of the EARTHLY BRETHREN of Jesus, the children of Israel. In other words, Jesus died for the brethren, in that, the gospel of salvation was preached to the Jews FIRST.

And Eleazar is a figure of God’s HELP, the Holy Spirit, dwelling is us who believe in God’s NEW Covenant to be saved. And the rod of Aaron coming to life to blossom and bear ripe fruit is a figure of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the power of the resurrection dwelling is us who believe to HELP us bear the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit. 

Jesus overcame Satan, the Devil TROUGH the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. And now, the SAME Holy Spirit dwells in us to help us overcome Satan, the Devil.

But sadly, Christadelphian Christians do NOT believe that Satan, the Devil, is a REAL literal BEING. They also do NOT believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in Christians today. Rather, they WRONGLY believe that the gifts of that the Holy Spirit have CEASED with the death of the Apostle John.

And the Christadelphian Christians ALSO wrongly believe, as well as, some other church denominations, that God created EVIL and that Yahweh is the CAUSE of all of the EVIL in the world. 

Plus, Christadelphian Christians, as well as other church denominations such as the Roman Catholic Church, sincerely, but wrongly believe in the FALSE doctrine or original sin. And thus, they build their other man-made doctrines upon the false doctrine of every person being born with a so-called sinful NATURE.

Again, once Christians understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands. 

And that you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels. 

Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become a Lord, a King, and a God, to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
