Is Jesus Almighty God Himself in the Flesh?

Church TRADITION teaches that John 1:1,14 means God Himself BECAME flesh.

The Oneness Pentecostal Christians “interpret” Hebrews 10:5 that Almighty God the Father “manifested” Himself a “BODY” of flesh to dwell in. And they conclude that Jesus is the Father Himself in the flesh.

Trinitarian Christians interpret that a pre-existing God the Son became flesh.

But what does the Bible ITSELF teach us?

All Christians agree that Almighty God is NOT a LIAR and that it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie, according to Hebrews 6:18, and Titus 1:2.

And thus, if man says or teaches things that contradict what God has said in His word, then THAT man makes God to be a liar. Let God be TRUE and every MAN a LAIR, says Romans 3:4.

But yet, some Trinitarian Christians try to explain AWAY verses of Scripture like Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, and Hosea 11:9.

So then, as with every “interpretation” of any and every verse of Scripture, there is a possibility of that interpretation of being WRONG! And thus, we must STUDY to show ourselves approved unto God, rightly dividing the word of God so as not to be ashamed.

Before we read Numbers 23:19 in its context, let us read the “Trinitarian interpretation” from a Trinitarian website, Got Questions, in order to COMPARE their interpretation to the Biblical Unitarian interpretation. 

The comments in parenthesis in Times Roman font and the emphasis are mine.

“…We must also consider what the Old Testament is really saying about God when it says He is not a human being. The point being made in Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, and Hosea 11:9 is that God does not lie. He is not fickle. His emotions do not change His eternal purposes. This is unlike fallen humanity, who cannot see the big picture, who often breaks promises, and whose feelings often cloud discernment. In other words, the statements that God is not a man are contrasting one aspect of God’s nature with a corresponding part of man’s. Saying, “God is not a man,” has nothing to do with whether or not God can ever exist in the flesh. (I changed this link to the passage of Scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. For you see, Biblical Unitarians teach what the Bible ITSELF teaches, which is that God DWELT in the flesh of Jesus who was made to become Deity after the cross and resurrection)

The Old Testament references to God being unlike man do not apply to Jesus’ particular type of humanity. All they are telling us is that God is not a man as we think of men. It’s a contrast, not a restriction. There is nothing that logically prevents God from becoming a man in a whole new way—in fact, redemption requires this, and redemption was God’s plan from before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). Thus, it can be said that God knew He would become a man before Numbers 23:19 was even penned! (And it can ALSO be said that God KNEW that His enemy the WASTER would deceive Christians to wrongly teach that God Himself BECAME a man before Numbers 23:19 was ever penned! For you see, Balaam is speaking a parable to Balak which means WASTER. And Satan is the WASTER who accuses the brethren)

If we consider the Old Testament in isolation, which is the Jewish perspective, we shall not likely “prove” that Jesus Christ was man, God, Messiah, and Savior—although the indicators are all there (see Isaiah 53, for example). Christians see the foreshadowing of the God-man in the Old Testament because the New Testament revelation helps interpret the Old Testament references (e.g., Matthew 2:15; cf. Hosea 11:1).”

Or more CORRECTLY, Christians should see the FORESHADOWING of a MAN BECOMING a God under and subject to his God and Father who MADE him to become a Lord, a King, and a God AFTER the cross and resurrection, according to Acts 2:36 and many other passages of Scripture.

Now, in the quote from Trinitarian article that we just read, that Trinitarian writer said that fallen man cannot see or understand the BIG PICTURE. And I say that some Trinitarians are blinded to the BIG PICTURE of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. For you see, some Trinitarian Christians teach that people MUST believe that God Himself died on the cross as a REQUIREMENT to be saved. Let us read that part of the quote again.

“There is nothing that logically prevents God from becoming a man in a whole new way—in fact, redemption requires this, and redemption was God’s plan from before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8)”

And thus, due to the fact that Trinitarian Christians are wrongly taught that they MUST believe that God Himself BECAME a MAN, is why some feel that they have to try to explain AWAY clear verses of Scripture that clearly and plainly say that God is NOT a MAN and NEITHER is God the Son of MAN.

So then, for all of my readers who sincerely believe that God Himself BECAME FLESH, here is the TRUE sound Biblical BIG PICTURE of what Numbers 23:19 TRULY means in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Let us now read the context of Numbers 23:28. 

I will quote one verse at a time with my comments between each verse and as few as possible comments in parenthesis within the verses.

Numbers 23:17-23.

“And when he (Balaam) came to him (Speaking of Balak, the King of Moab), behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What has the LORD spoken?” 

In verse 17, we learn that Balaam is a prophet of Yahweh who is MEDIATING between God and the princes of Moab who stand WITH Balak their king whose name means WASTER.

So then, the BIG PICTURE of Numbers 23:19 is foreshowing the MEDIATOR in Galatians 3:20 who is NOT one of the princes of the fallen angels or the fallen Elohim. For you see, the name Balaam means NOT of the “people”. And the Hebrew word for people in this context is speaking of the attendants or the TROOPS. 

In other words, Balaam is a FIGURE of the Prophet Jesus who will JUDGE the fallen angels and who is NOT an ANGEL. And the angels are the people of God BEFORE God created MAN and the Son of MAN. And Balak is a FIGURE of Satan, the king over the fallen angels.

That is the BIG PICTURE of Numbers 23:19!

“Numbers 23:18. And he (Balaam, a figure of Jesus as a mediator) took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak,(A figure of Satan being the king over the fallen angels) and hear; hearken unto me, (Yahweh’s MEDIATOR) you son of Zippor:”

The name Zippor means little bird, fowls of the air. And the passage of Scripture brought to my remembrance when I read the meaning today is the parable of the Sower, sowing the seed of God’s word found in Luke 8:5-18, Matthew 13:3-23, and Mark 4:1-20. 

And in Mark 4:13, Jesus said, if we do not UNDERSTAND this parable, then how can we understand all of the OTHER parables.

So then, it was God’s ENEMY, the wicked one, Satan, the WASTER that is pictured as a BIRD who ate the seed of God’s word that fell by the wayside. 

And it is the Son of MAN, Jesus, who sows the seed of God’s word. And Jesus will be the MEDIATOR of not just man, but also a meditator between the fallen angels and Yahweh the Creator, according to Galatians 3:20. 

And thus, Yahweh chose for His mediator to NOT be and ANGEL, and NEITHER for His mediator to be HIMSELF. And that is WHY Yahweh said that He is NOT an extant, speaking of His people the angels. And NEITHER is God the Son of MAN, speaking of His Messiah, Jesus.

“Numbers 23:19. God is NOT a man, (Speaking of Yahweh NOT being one of the ANGELS) that He should LIE; NEITHER (Is Yahweh) the Son of MAN, that He should REPENT: (Or that Yahweh should have to REPENT if He was a LIAR) has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?”

Now, if God INTENDS His words in Numbers 23:19 to literally mean that God is NOT a ANGEL, and NEITHER is God a HUMAN being, the Son of MAN, Jesus, His Messiah. Then God would be a LIAR and have need to REPENT if God Himself BECAME the Son of MAN, Jesus.

Notice the CONTEXT, God is NOT COMPARING Himself to man as some Trinitarian apologists try to EXPLAIN AWAY this verse of Scripture.

The context is saying that what God has prophesied is what God will bring to pass. And according to Psalm 75:6,7, God will CUT DOWN one and PROMOTE ANOTHER to take his place.

Psalm 75:6,7.

“For PROMOTION comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 

Psalm 75:7. But God is the JUDGE: He puts down one, and SETS up ANOTHER.”

Notice that NORTH is not mentioned in verse 6. And that is because the City of God is in the sided of the NORTH and promotion to become a God only comes from Yahweh.

Also, notice that God is the JUDGE, and according to Acts 17:29-31, the Godhead, or the HEAD God with JUDGE the world BY the MAN whom He ORDAINED and raised from the DEAD.

In other words, Yahweh PROMOTED or HIGHLY EXALTED the Son of MAN, Jesus, to be SEATED at His right hand on His throne to rule as God over the whole earth during the world to come. And Yahweh did that in order to JUDGE Lucifer and the fallen angel BY the MAN, Jesus Christ ruling in RIGHTEOUSNESS without any wars for 1000 years.

“Numbers 23:20. Behold, I (Balaam, the FIGURE of Jesus speaking to Balak, the FIGURE of Satan, saying I) have received commandment to bless: and He has blessed; and I cannot reverse it.”

Again, Balaam is a figure of the Prophet, Jesus, who only spoke what Yahweh put in his mouth to speak, according to the prophecy in Deuteronomy 18:15-18 and the fulfillment in John 7:14, John 14:24, and John 17:14 just to name a few.

And what Yahweh prophesied Yahweh will bring to pass and we as servants and prophets of Yahweh cannot change the JUDGMENT that God has ORDAINED.

“Numbers 23:21. He (Yahweh) has NOT beheld iniquity in Jacob, (Who is a FIGURE of Jesus) neither has He seen perverseness in Israel: (Which means, he shall RULE as God, speaking of Jesus ruling as God during the world to come) the LORD his God is WITH him, (SINGULAR) and the shout of a king is among them.” 

The name Jacob mean SUPPLANTER and the word supplanter means someone who takes the place of another, usually in a position of power. It also means to supersede and replace. And supersede means to SURPASS or to be greater than or better than the one they replace. And the Son of MAN, Jesus, OBTAINED a more excellent NAME than the angels, according to Hebrews 1:4.

Again, Jacob is a FIGURE of Jesus replacing Lucifer, who unlike Jesus, tried to take by force of WAR to be equal with God to be a king over the angels like God.

The name Israel means he shall rule as God. And Yahweh MADE His human Son to become a Lord, a God and a King to rule over the whole earth during the world to come. And God did that BECAUSE His human Son loved righteousness and hated evil, according to Hebrews 1:8,9, Philippians 2:8-11, and John 5:27. John 5:27 SPECIFICALLY says BECAUSE he was the Son of MAN.

And thus, if God BECAME a MAN who was FULLY God at the SAME time having TWO natures, one divine, and one human, as Trinitarian Christians dogmatically demand, then God would be a LIAR and He would have to REPENT for lying. And thus, Satan can accuse those Trinitarian brethren as being his witnesses that God LIED.

But that is NOT what God did! God did NOT BECOME His Son! Rather, God CREATED man and the Son of MAN a little LOWER or inferior to the angels BECAUSE of His ENEMIES, according to Psalm 8:1-6.

“Numbers 23:22. God brought them out of Egypt; (Which is a figure or type of the world) he has as it were the strength of an unicorn.” 

The simplistic meaning of the word “unicorn” is ONE horn. And the word “horn” in the Bible speaks of Yahweh as the ONE SUPREME power and authority. So, to me, this is a figure of the rapture of the church being brought out of the world. 

And the Hebrew word translated as “God” in verse 22 is the Hebrew word “El” the same Hebrew word us in the PROPHECY in Isaiah 9:6,7 that says, his NAME shall be CALLED the Might God or the Mighty El. 

And Jesus was given a NEW NAME after the cross and resurrection to me MADE a lord, a King, and a God under and subject to his God and Father, according to Acts 2:36 and many other passages of Scripture. Please be sure to read the two part Bible Study called What is the NEW NAME of Jesus?

Keep in mind that Israel wanted a King over them to be like other nations, because they were afraid of Yahweh.

Also, the word “unicorn” means to rise and be lifted up to have STRENGTH like the bull or an ox, which by the way is the pictogram of Yahweh. The ENEMY counterfeits God and seduced them to make idols of bulls to worship him as their god.

“Numbers 23:23. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God wrought!”

Or more CORRECTLY translated. What? A God is MADE! In other words, What! Has Yahweh CREATED a God to be PROMOTED to rule as God over the earth during the world to come to replace me His anointed Cherub, Lucifer! This is Yahweh’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes!

Again, the name Jacob means supplanter which means he will replace someone in a position of power. And Israel means he shall rule as God. And in Isaiah 43:1-7, Yahweh said the He CREATED His NAME, Jacab, and Israel for His GLORY!

So, to me, for any Christian to try to argue that God did NOT INTEND His words in Numbers 22:19 to mean exactly what they say, that God did not become His Son, is simply trying to explain away that verse of Scripture. 

In other words, for any Christians to argue that this verse actually means that God is just COMPARING Himself to man as Him NOT being a liar, then that Christian is simply trying to EXPLAIN AWAY the TRUTH of the gospel of Jesus ANOINTED, in order to cling to the man-made doctrine of the Trinity.

Again, once Christians understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands. 

And that you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels. 

Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become a Lord, a King, and a God, to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
