Was the Son of God BEGOTTEN in the ETERNITY PAST?

 

Chapter 4.

Jesus was BEGOTTEN on the DAY of his Resurrection!

 

Some Christians sincerely believe that they MUST believe that Almighty God the Father SENT His Son down from heaven into the world to be manifested or incarnated as the Savior. In other words, some Christians sincerely believe with all of their heart that if they do NOT believe that God the Son came down from heaven to die for their sins, then they cannot be SAVED.

Therefore, without realizing it, they “interpret” every verse of Scripture in the Bible with that understanding or with the preconceived belief that God the Father sent His eternal divine Son down from heaven to be made flesh.

And thus, they interpret John 3:16, God GAVE His ONLY BEGOTTEN Son, to mean that God SENT His ONLY BEGOTTEN Son down from heaven into the world.

And, therefore, they conclude that the Son of God MUST have been BEGOTTEN by God in the ETERNITY PAST.

So then, to THEM, there is no other way to interpret the Son of God being SENT into the world. And that is because they have been told that the words “God SENT His Son into the world” can ONLY mean that God the Father sent God the Son down from heaven to be manifested in the flesh. That is what they have been told and that is what the believe with all of their heart.

But is that what the Bible ITSELF teaches us? Was the Son of God BEGOTTEN by God in the eternity past? Did God created the universe BY His Son?

Does the Bible itself say that we MUST believe that God sent His Son DOWN from heaven to be made flesh in order to be saved? And there any verses in the Bible that say God sent God the Son down from heaven into the world?

The short answer is absolutely NOT! And here is WHY we can KNOW ASSUREDLY that the Son of God did NOT exist, pre-exist, or was begotten in the eternity past or at any time BEFORE the Virgin birth of Jesus.

We will read the PROPHECY first, and then we will read WHEN the prophecy was FULFILLED. And if you do NOT believe what the Bible ITSELF plainly states as FACT with no interpretation needed, then it is Satan who has blinded you mind to the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ, who is the IMAGE of God, according to 2 Corinthians 4:3,4. 

 

Prophecy #1. 

 

Psalm 2:7.

 

“I will declare the decree: the LORD has said unto me, You are My Son; THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN you.”

 

The Apostle Peter teaches us in 1 Peter 1{1-21 that no prophecy is of any PRIVATE interpretation and that it is given by God to men of old to prophesy what God inspired them to speak and write.

And when we look up the meaning of the Greek word “” that is translated as the word prophecy, then we see that it means to predict, which means to foretell something before it happens.

Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines prophecy.

So then, a PROPHECY is the foretelling of something that God will FULFILL. In other words, God watches over His spoken word to PERFORM what he SAID He will do, according to Isaiah 9:6,7, and Jeremiah 1:12. And we know assuredly that this prophecy was not fulfilled in the eternity past. 

For you see, we are plainly told in the New Testament WHEN this PROPHECY in Psalm 2:7 was FULFILLED by God on the EXACT DAY that the Son was BEGOTTEN.

In other words, Psalm 2:7 was NOT fulfilled in the eternity past before the prophecy was ever given as some Christians CLAIM by saying that the Son of God was BEGOTTEN before God created anything. 

The prophecy itself would not have even existed, seeing it takes a prophet of God to prophesy the prophecy. And since King David wrote Psalm 2, this prophecy was not foretold until the time of King David.

So then, the argument that the words, “THIS DAY” means a day in the eternity past before the prophecy was ever given makes no logical sense.

And again, the Bible itself tells us exactly when “THIS DAY” in Psalm 2:7 was FULFILLED. Notice that God is saying this prophecy directly to His Son ON the very DAY that the Son was begotten by God.

Let us read that prophecy one more time before we read the FULFILLMENT of when this prophecy came to pass.

 

Psalm 2:7.

 

“I will declare the decree: the LORD has said unto ME, You are My Son; THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN you.”

 

Then Yahweh Son said, I will declare the DECREE. And the decree is what Yahweh SAID unto His Son whom He had just BEGOTTEN. You (Jesus), you are My Son. THIS DAY I have begotten you. So then, on what DAY does the Bible ITSELF tell us was the DAY when the Son was BEGOTTEN?

 

FULFILLMENT of Prophecy #1.

 

Acts 13:32-38.

 

“And we declare unto you glad tidings, (Or we declare unto you the GOSPEL which means good news) how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, (Speaking of the PROPHECY in Psalm 2:7 as being that goods news) 

Acts 13:33.  God has FULFILLED the SAME (Speaking of God fulfilling Psalm 2:7, God has fulfilled that same prophecy) unto us their children, IN THAT He has raised up Jesus again; (Or God has fulfilled the promise of His prophecy in Psalm 2:7 BY begetting His human Son AGAIN from the DEAD. In other words, the Son of God was BORN-AGAIN from the dead to become the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God) as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my Son, THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN you. (In other words, the very DAY that God FULFILLED His prophecy in the second Psalm, Psalm 2:7, was the DAY that God raised the Son of MAN, Jesus, from the DEAD and GAVE him the DIVINE NATURE of ETERNAL LIFE, according to John 5:26,27) 

Acts 13:34.  And, as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, (In other words, God gave His Son eternal life on the same DAY that God raised him from the dead) he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. 

Acts 13:35.  Wherefore, He also said in another Psalm, You shall not suffer Your Holy One to see corruption. 

Acts 13:36.  For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: (The Apostles of Jesus make it blatantly clear that the prophecies, which might SEEM to being referring to King David, are actually prophecies of Jesus, the Messiah, who saw no corruption or no decayed body)

Acts 13:37.  But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. 

Acts 13:38.  Be it KNOWN unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this MAN is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:”

 

Notice that Acts 13:38 refers to, even the now GLORIED Son of God, as still being a MAN. Jesus said this about himself when he would return in Matthew 24:30, “…and they shall see the Son of MAN coming in clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

 

Prophecy #2.

 

1 Chronicles 17:12,13.

 

“He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. 

1 Chronicles 17:13.  I WILL BE his Father, and he SHALL BE My son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before you:”

 

This prophecy teaches that some prophecies have more than just one fulfillment. Yahweh is speaking to King David about his seed. David was not allowed to build God a house, but rather, God prophesied to David saying your seed will build my house.

The FIRST fulfillment of God’s house being build came to pass when Solomon built God TEMPLE. But in this same prophecy we can clearly see a foretelling of a future Son AFTER Solomon, whom God promised to NOT take away His mercy as he took away from Solomon that became God son BEFORE Jesus became God’s Son.

Notice that the PROPHECY is future tense saying, “I WILL BE his Father and he SHALL BE My Son”. Clearly, this is a prophecy of Jesus, who SHALL be the Son of God and Yahweh WILL BE his Father.

Now, to me, it makes no sense that God would PROPHESY a future event saying he SHALL be My Son if God’s Son already existed in the eternity past. Let us go ahead and read the FULFILLMENT of this prophecy in the New Testament in two places, Hebrews 5:4-14, and Hebrews 1:1-9.

 

Fulfillment #2.

 

Hebrews 5:4,5.

 

“And no MAN takes this honor unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. 

Heb 5:5.  So also Christ (The anointed Son of MAN) glorified not himself to be MADE an high priest; but He that said unto him, You are My Son, TODAY have I BEGOTTEN you.”

 

So again, we can see that the SAME DAY that God MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus, the high priest after the order of Melchizedek was the very DAY that the Son of MAN, Jesus BECAME the BEGOTTEN Son of God.

But how is that possible brother Mark? Jesus teaches us in John chapter 3, the very context of John 3:16-18, that EVERY MAN MUST be BORN-AGAIN in order to enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus said you MUST be born-again.

Jesus said this twice. The FIRST time that we are born-again. we are able to SEE the kingdom of God, as in, we are able to UNDERSTAND the things of the kingdom of God.

And the second time that we will be born-again is at the coming of Jesus. And that is when our MORTAL bodies will be CHANGED to the DIVINE NATURE of IMMORTAL bodies.

Now that you understand that the Bible term “born-again” has two meanings, being born as a new creature by faith in the word of God, the gospel of Jesus ANOINTED, and also being REGENERATED from mortal to immortality, let us read Hebrews 1:5 in its CONTEXT.

 

Hebrews 1:3-9.

 

“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of his person, (According to he Son of MAN, Jesus, was not yet GLORIFIED before the cross and resurrection. And thus, this whole passage of Scripture is speaking of the now GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, AFTER the cross and resurrection) and upholding all things by the word of His power, (Speaking of Yahweh the Father’s power that He GAVE His glorified human Son, the power and the authority that the Son of MAN, Jesus, RECEIVED after the cross and resurrection, according to Romans 1:3,4 and Matthew 28:18) WHEN he had by himself purged our sins, SAT down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 

Hebrews 1:4.  Being MADE so much better than the angels, as he has by INHERITANCE OBTAINED  a more excellent NAME than they. (Speaking of the NEW NAME that Yahweh prophesied to give to His Messiah in Isaiah 62:1-3. And which was FULFILLED in Philippians 2:8-11 after the Son of MAN obeyed his God and Father to die on the cross for the sins of the world.

For you see, the Son of MAN, was made LOWER than the angels and then his God and Father CROWNED His human Son will glory and honor to RECEIVE power to join his God and Father on the Father’s throne)

Hebrew 1:5.  For unto which of the angels said He at any time, You are my Son, THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN you? And again, (Or in another prophecy God said again) I WILL BE to him a Father, and he SHALL BE to Me a Son? 

Hebrews 1:6.  And again, (Or again in another prophesy God said) when He brings in the FIRST BEGOTTEN into the world, He said, And let all the angels of God worship him. (The prophecy is in Psalm 97:5-7. The LORD and His Lord will come with vengeance and all the gods, speaking of the Elohim, called the angels, shall worship the FIRSTBORN. Yahweh prophesied in Psalms 89:27 that He would EXALT His FIRSTBORN to be made King of kings and Lord of lords)

Hebrews 1:7.  And of the angels He said, Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. (Now, when you look up the Greek word translated as “a flame of fire” it also means to be made a BLAZE of fire. And to me, that speaks of the fallen angels being made a blaze of fire in the lake of final on the Day of Judgment)

Hebrews 1:8.  But unto the Son He said, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: (Or your throne O God is for an AGE to and AGE. In other words, Jesus will rule as God for Yahweh in the NAME of his God and Father for an AGE of 1000 years up to the new age of the new heaven and the new earth) a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. (Or you will not rebel against me like Lucifer did)

Hebrews 1:9.  You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; THEREFORE (Or for the very reason that you love righteousness and hate iniquity) God, even your God, has ANOINTED you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”

 

Clearly, the Bible ITSELF teaches us the Yahweh, the Father ANOINTED His human Son to be MADE Lord and a God over the earth in the world to come UNTIL Almighty God puts all of His enemies under his feet, according to many verses of Scripture.

Psalm 110:1, Matthew 22:44, Mark 12:36, Luke 20:42-43, Acts 2:34-36, 1 Corinthians 15:25-28, Hebrews 1:13, Hebrews 2:5-10, Hebrews 10:12,13, Micah 4:6-8, and Daniel 7:13.14,18.

Now, after clearly seeing that the human Son of God was MADE to become Lord after the cross and resurrection, it makes no sense that a God the Son was sent down from heaven to die on the cross for the sins of the world.

And, after clearly seeing that the now glorified Son of God will rule only over the earth and ONLY for the age of 1000 years, the first dominion, it makes no sense for the phrase “and the Word was God” in John 1:1 to mean that Jesus pre-existed as God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity God as Trinitarian Christ dogmatically claim.

So please be sure to read chapter number 5 called “B-2 Ch5 Returning to John 1:1 that was in the BEGINNING!”. And in that chapter, we will be restoring the CORRECT God intended translation of John 1:1-3 that can be found in many earlier translations before and after the 1611 King James Version.
