Has Matthew 1:23 been INCORRECTLY translated? Does Matthew 1:23 prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh?
Did a God the Son manifest himself to become flesh? What do the words “God WITH us” TRULY mean in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God?

What Does “God WITH us” TRULY Mean?
Chapter 9.
His NAME Shall be called Emmanuel!
Pretty much every morning I awake with a verse or verses of Scripture going through my mind.
And this morning I was mediating on Matthew 1:23 and that the “people” shall call his NAME Emmanuel, which is “TRANSLATED” as God WITH us.
The pronoun “they” is referring to the people during the Millennial reign of Jesus, according to the prophecy in Psalm 110:1-7.
Now, the WAY in which Matthew 1:23 is “translated” in the King James Version of the Bible, it misleads some Christians to wrongly INTERPRET the phrase “God WITH us” to mean that Jesus himself is Almighty God in the flesh.
Please know and understand that I have already done study on this verse many years ago, but this morning I was impressed to take even a CLOSER look at the “definitions” of the words in the phrase “God with us”.
And here is what I found. I mean, I did not go “looking” for this revelation, but rather, it jumped off of the page at me, so to speak. And now I understood this verse in even a greater light.
I saw that Matthew 1:23 was INCORRECTLY “interpreted” a long time ago, but not until today did God show me that it was ALSO incorrectly TRANSLATED in the KJV. Let me explain what I mean.
Here is the definition of the Greek word “meta” that is translated as “WITH” in the KJV. The meaning of this Greek word “meta” that jumped out to me was the word “SUCCESSION”. That word that stood out to me as another Scripture came to my mind.
Psalm 75:6,7.
“For PROMOTION comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. (Meaning that promotion comes from the NORTH where the throne of God is located)
Psalm 75:7. But God is the JUDGE: He puts down one, and SETS up another.”
Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Greek word “meta” that is incorrectly translated as “God WITH us” in Matthew 1:23.

Now, my understanding of the meaning of the English word “succession” was to take the place of someone else, like the succession of a prince being crowned as the king when the king dies.
But I was not completely sure that I was thinking of the right word, so I looked it up. And that is when many verses of Scriptures came to my mind. Let me show you what I mean.
Here are the meanings of the English word succession.
#1. As a noun succession means a number of people or things sharing a specified characteristic and following one after the other:
Example in a sentence, “She had been secretary to a succession of board directors”
#2. The action or process of inheriting a title, office, property, etc.
Example in a sentence, “The new king was already elderly at the time of his succession”
Also meaning the right or sequence of inheriting a position, title, etc.
Example sentence, “The succession to the Crown was disputed”
Then I was impressed to also look up the Greek word “translated” as the pronoun “us” and the preposition “of” in the definition stood out to me.
So then, let us use the meanings “of succession” in place of the meanings “with us” and read verse 23 in its context. We learn so much when we keep verses in their context.
Matthew 1:18-25.
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: (Or this is HOW the birth of Jesus the Messiah actually took place) When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 1:19. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
Matthew 1:20. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, (Notice that Jesus is in the WOMB of the Virgin Mary, therefore, the angel of the Lord in the Old Testament is NOT God the Son) saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. (Or that which is begotten or brought forth in her is of the Holy Spirit. The Greek word translated as “of” means the ORIGIN of that which is in her womb is the Eternal Spirit who prophesied in Jeremiah 31:22 that He would CREATE a NEW THING in the earth, a woman shall compass a man. And in Luke 1:35, the child in the womb of the Virgin Mary who would be born was referred to as a Holy THING)
Matthew 1:21. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. (The name Jesus is Hebrew is Yeshua, which means the salvation of Yahweh. In other words, Yahweh saves by providing a Savior and working TOGETHER, Yahweh and His Son save the people from their sins)
Matthew 1:22. Now, all this was done, THAT it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Matthew 1:23. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and THEY shall call his NAME Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God of SUCCESSION. (Which again means the RIGHT of INHERITING the TITLE of God. And according to the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6,7, when Jesus returns and the government is places on his shoulders, his NAME or his TITLE will be called the Mighty El.
And the Hebrew words are translated as the Mighty God and not the Almighty God. And the position that Jesus will SUCCEDE, is the position of being the God over the whole earth that is presently being ruled by Satan, according to 2 Corinthians 4:3,4.
Satan will be put down and the Son of MAN will rule as God FOR God in the NAME of God for 1000 years in PEACE and in righteousness.
God is proving by His faithful and true WITNESSES that even His CREATION of humans made LOWER than the angels can live and RULE over the earth WITHOUT any wars, violence and oppressing the people like Lucifer did in a previous age and is still doing a Satan in this present world.
According to Acts 17:29-31, God will judge the world by the MAN whom He ordained and raised from the dead)
Matthew 1:24. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his NAME JESUS.”
Now, many modern translations say Emmanuel MEANS God with us as opposed to “interpreted” as God with us. And that misleads some Christians to wrongly believe that the phrase “God with us” is the ONLY possible meaning.
But the KJV says “INTERPRETED” as “God with us”. Which, by the way, has to ALSO be “interpreted” to mean that the Son of MAN, Jesus is Almighty God HIMSELF in the flesh.
For you see, God can be with the people by DWELLING in His human Son, Jesus.
So then, in TRUTH, that “interpretation” of Jesus being Almighty God Himself in the flesh CONTRADICTS other verses of Scripture that clearly teach us in SIMPLICITY that Almighty God DWELT in the Son of MAN, Jesus.
Here are just a few of those verses, Acts 10:38, John 5:19,30, John 14:10, and 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. I will quote Acts 10:38 first so that you can see that God was WITH Jesus, as opposed to Jesus BEING Almighty God Himself as Trinitarians Christians wrongly claim.
Acts 10:38,39.
“How God ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was WITH him. (The same Greek word translated as God WITH us in Matthew 1:23. And yet another meaning of the Greek word “meta” Strong’s number G3326 is association which mean joined together for a joint purpose)
Acts 10:39. And we are witnesses of all things which he did (And the eyewitnesses of Jesus wrote down a record called the New Testament of HOW Jesus did the works) both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:”
And not one verse of Scripture written by the eyewitnesses of Jesus say that a God the Son did the works. But yet Trinitarian Christians “interpret” verses of Scripture in the KJV to mean that Jesus MUST be Almighty God Himself in the flesh because ONLY Almighty God could do the things that Jesus did. And thus, they wrongly conclude that God the Son was manifested, incarnated, or BECAME flesh but yet REMAINED fully God at the same time.
So then, let us substitute the word “Son” and all of the pronouns referring back to the Son of MAN, Jesus, in John 5:19,30 with the phrase “God the Son”, since Trinitarian Christians dogmatically demand that Jesus is a God the Son himself in the flesh.
Here is the Trinitarian translation of John 5:19,30.
“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, God the Son can do NOTHING of himself, but what God the Son sees the Father do: for what things soever he do, these also does God the Son likewise…
30. God the Son can of God the Son’s own self do NOTHING: as God the Son hears, God the Son judges: and God the Son’s judgment is just; because God the Son seeks not God the Son’s own will, but the will of the Father which has sent God the Son.”
Now let us read John 14:10 doing the same thing.
Here is the Trinitarian translation of John 14:10.
“Believe you not that God the Son is in the Father, and the Father in God the Son? The words that God the Son speaks unto you God the Son speaks not of God the Son: but the Father that DWELLS in God the Son, He does the works.”
Can you not see how Almighty God DWELLING in a so-called “INTERPRETED” God the Son makes no sense whatsoever? Why would Almighty God need to DWELL in a so-called second person of HIMSELF?
The Bible itself teaches us that Jesus is the IMAGE of the unseen God and that we are being conformed into the IMAGE of Jesus. But that does not make us to be Jesus himself. But rather, we are the ambassadors of Jesus who DECLARED to us that the Father in the ONLY TRUE God in John 17:1-3.
And what the phrase “the ONLY TRUE God” means in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God is that the Father is the only TRUTHFUL God and Satan is a LYING God. And Jesus is a truthful God from the TRUTHFUL God, the Father for the PURPOSE of JUDGING the LYING god, Satan and the fallen angels. Yahweh chose to us MAN and the Son of MAN to JUDGE the angels. Know you not that WE shall JUDGE the angels?
1 Corinthians 6:2,3.
“Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? (The word “saint” simply means the holy ones and any Christian that says Jesus is not one of the saints does not understand what the Scriptures teach. The prophecy in Psalm 149:7-9 teaches us that Yahweh gave the honor to ALL of the saints or to ALL of the holy ones to execute the vengeance of Yahweh) And if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1 Corinthians 6:3. Know you not that WE shall JUDGE angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?”
Jesus is the firstborn of many BRETHREN. Almighty God, the Eternal King anointed the Son of MAN, Jesus, to be a King above his FELLOWS who will also be made kings under Jesus.
And Yahweh or the LORD MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus, Lord, according to Acts 2:36. And we will also be made lords over the earth under and subject to Jesus who his God made Lord of lords and King of kings.
And thus, my conclusion is that the phrase “God WITH us” means “A” God of SUCCESSION. In other words, John 1:1 means in a beginning after the angels waged a WAR against God the SAYING was with God.
And the SAYING or prophecy was TOWARD the God, and A God was the SAYING of prophecy. And that is EXACTLY what was FULFILLED.
